Every once in a while, you'll see some Pig Latin thrown in to a cryptic crossword puzzle. I tend not to use it because it's a bit too easy. The clue typically says "Pig Latin", announcing what the riddle is. But it's a perfectly valid type of riddle.
Pig Latin is a language game and it's easy to master. In order to "translate" a word into Pig Latin, you simply take the first consonant or several consonants in the word and move it/them around to the back, then add the letters "ay" to the end.
Sometime it yields gibberish, like the title of this section. But sometimes the results are interesting. For example, "trash" becomes "ashtray" in Pig Latin. "Lout" becomes "outlay".
